Taking Meds is an American rock band originally formed in 2012 in Rochester, New York, and now based in Brooklyn. The group is known for a high-energy sound that blends '90s-style indie rock, math rock, and post-hardcore. The band was started by vocalist and guitarist Skylar Sarkis and guitarist Ben Kotin while they were touring with their other project, Such Gold. They are often described as an "uncategorizable" band that fits in equally well at hardcore, pop-punk, and indie shows.
